This is a copy cat recipe of the red cabbage salad they make at Northwoods Inn at Clearman's Village
1 head of red cabbage
½ c. vegetable oil
½ c. red wine vinegar
3 Tbl. sugar
4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Lawry's season salt
½ tsp. onion powder
¼ tsp. pepper
¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
Cut cabbage into thin slices and place in a large bowl, that has a tight lid.
Mix the rest of the ingredients into a measuring cup. Stir to dissolve.
Place lid on bowl and seal. Shake it up! Then set it in the refrigerator. Shake and mix it before every serving.
The first day it's good. The second and third it gets better, by the fourth day it's at its best!
